CaddyBytes 🏆 2025 LIV Andalucia Final Round Highlights: Championship Sunday at Real Club Valderrama turned into a true pressure test, with Taylor Gooch starting the day four shots clear but immediately giving the field hope after a bogey at the opening hole. Patrick Reed, Brandon Grace, Sergio Garcia, Abraham Ancer and Cameron Smith all made early moves, while the tight fairways and cork-tree corridors of Valderrama made every missed chance feel expensive.
The biggest roar belonged to Jon Rahm, who fed off massive home support and charged into contention with a brilliant middle stretch. Rahm made birdies at key moments, pulled within one of Gooch, and eventually turned the back nine into a full-blown battle. Tom McKibbin also surged with a sensational Sunday round, creating a three-way tie for the lead as Gooch tried to steady himself through Valderrama’s closing cauldron.
Rahm kept applying pressure late, making Gooch earn every shot down the stretch. But Gooch answered with grit, especially at the 18th, where he found the fairway and then delivered a clutch long-iron approach into the green. With two putts for the title, Gooch calmly finished the job and won LIV Golf Andalucia for the second time, holding off Rahm’s almighty final-round push.
In the team competition, Rahm’s Legion XIII made a late surge behind strong rounds from Rahm, McKibbin, Tyrrell Hatton and Caleb Surratt. But the day’s defining story was Gooch’s resolve under pressure — a steely final-hole response after Rahm had thrown everything at him in front of the Spanish fans at Valderrama.
